Synesthesia: Art and the Mind

Exhibition at McMaster Museum

September 18 – November 15, 2008

Opening September 27, 2008
6 p.m. – 8 p.m.

Hamilton, Ontario
Canada

Synesthesia: Art and the Mind was curated by Greta Berman and Carol Steen and made possible by Carol Podedworny, Director McMaster Museum, and Daphne Maurer, Fellow of the Royal Society of Canada.

This groundbreaking exhibition will be the first ever to show the works of known genuine synesthetic artists in context. It will also include paintings and drawings by artists who may have been synesthetic, and examine some commonalities. This show is not intended to be definitive, but, rather, we hope that it will generate further discussion and future exhibitions.
